Bennetto Natural Foods co. began in 2010, when Lucy Bennetto, a high school English and Drama teacher, started making raw cacao chocolate at home as a healthier treat. In 2011, Lucy made her first trip to the Dominican Republic to understand first hand the ‘ins and outs’ of the sustainable cocoa supply chain.
